It is located in the Province of Guanacaste, canton of Santa Cruz.

It has an extension of 3 km approximately, their sands are of clear brown color. It is of the type rectilinear beach, of strong surf, of moderate slope to high. It presents promontories in the south end where Punta Nosara is located, being this one of its biggest attractiveness. It divides it of Ostional in the north sector the Concave rocky promontory. In the back part of this the Lagoon Division is located.
